Billing and Credits

Intervy uses a credit system for AI features and a tiered subscription plan for team features. Credits power Ivy, CV summaries, and AI field generation. Plans unlock collaboration features, more open positions, and a free interviewer pool that grows with your team. Top up credits from Billing when your balance runs low, or connect your own provider key with BYOK.

Free credits on signup#

Every new organization receives 300 free credits when it is created. Free credits are claimed once per email address.

Monthly credit allowance#

Starter and Growth plans include a monthly AI credit allowance that refreshes at the start of each calendar month. The allowance scales with the number of hiring seats on your plan — Org Admin and Staffing members each contribute a per-seat share to the org's monthly pool. The credits are pooled at the organization level, so any member with credits:view can spend them on AI features. Granted credits are spent before any credits you have purchased, so your top-ups last longer.

For example, a Growth plan with 4 hiring seats receives 10,000 credits per month (4 × 2,500). All four members share the same pool — the credits go to whoever uses Ivy that month, not to specific people.

Your current granted balance and its expiry date appear in the Credit balance card on Settings → Billing. Unused granted credits do not carry over — they are removed when the new month's allowance arrives. If your total balance (granted + purchased combined) drops near zero on a paid plan, a callout banner appears at the top of Billing with a one-click Buy more credits shortcut so you can top up with non-expiring credits.

Purchase credits#

1. Open Billing in the sidebar. You need billing:manage to purchase.
2. Click Buy credits and pick a pack.
3. You'll be redirected to Stripe Checkout to enter payment details. All purchases are charged in EUR.
4. Once payment confirms, you'll be returned to Intervy and the credits appear in your balance.

Check your credit balance#

Your current balance appears in the Credit balance card on Settings → Billing and in the Ivy panel. The card shows a From your subscription (this month) row with the expiry date of your current allowance, a Lifetime credits (never expire) row for credits you have purchased, and a Total at the bottom that sums them. Any member with credits:view can see the balance — this permission is held by all three predefined roles including Interviewer.

Plans and subscriptions#

Intervy plans split your team into two kinds of seats:

• Hiring seats — you pay per hiring seat per month. Org Admins and Staffing members occupy hiring seats. They drive the workflow: configuring positions, managing candidates, reviewing applications.
• Interviewer seats — free, capped per tier. Anyone you invite as an Interviewer can rate candidates, conduct interview sessions, and use Ivy during interviews without consuming a hiring seat.

Add 50 interviewers across the engineering team and only the recruiters running the hiring process show up on your invoice.

Upgrade to a paid plan#

1. Open Billing in the sidebar. You need billing:manage to subscribe.
2. From the You're on the Free plan card, click Choose a plan. (Prefer to skim first? Compare plans opens our public pricing page in a new tab.)
3. Pick Starter or Growth and toggle between monthly and yearly. For Scale, click Talk to us.
4. You'll be redirected to Stripe Checkout to enter payment details.
5. Once payment confirms, the plan flips immediately and gated features unlock.

Manage your subscription#

After subscribing, the Subscription card shows your current plan, billing cycle, renewal date, and how many hiring seats are on the invoice. The Interviewers card below it tracks your interviewer cap usage (e.g. "12 of 20 interviewer seats used") and surfaces a one-click upgrade to the next tier if you're at the cap. On Free, an Open positions card shows your 1/1 cap. From the Subscription card you can Change plan (switch tiers or move between monthly and yearly directly in-app — upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge, downgrades are scheduled for your next renewal), Cancel subscription (you'll be asked for an optional reason and the plan stays active until the end of the current cycle), or open Payment methods & invoices to update your card or download past invoices. Scale organizations show a single Manage subscription button (or a Contact sales link if no Stripe customer exists) and a Custom pricing note in place of the seat-cost breakdown — reach out to discuss billing changes. VAT and invoices#

All listed prices are net — VAT is added on top at Checkout based on your billing address.

• Polish customers are charged Polish VAT on top of the listed price.
• Other EU companies can enter their EU VAT number at Checkout. If it validates, reverse-charge applies and no VAT is added — your accountant settles VAT in your home country.
• Customers outside the EU typically aren't charged VAT.

Every purchase generates a tax-compliant invoice — both subscription renewals and one-time credit packs. Find past invoices under Manage subscription → invoice history. You can update your billing address and VAT number from the same place at any time, and the changes take effect on the next invoice.

BYOK mode (Bring Your Own Key)#

If you provide your own Anthropic or OpenAI API key in Settings → AI Provider, Intervy switches to BYOK mode. Credits are not consumed while BYOK is active.

Troubleshooting#

Ivy responds with "no credits" — Your balance is zero. Purchase a credit pack from Billing, or configure BYOK in Settings → AI Provider.

Inviting a new interviewer is blocked — Your org is at the per-tier interviewer cap. Upgrade to the next tier from Billing or remove an existing interviewer.
